Tryon Health & Fitness Club offers over 20 group exercise and aerboics classes every single week, and no matter what class you attend, you can count on having a well trained instructor to guide you. We also have many certified Personal Trainers who are able to help you reach your next level of fitness and offer extremely affordable personal training rates!
Tina Durbin - Owner
Tina Durbin, the owner and President of Tryon Health and Fitness Club, has enjoyed various forms of fitness since she first learned to dance as a child and later joined the Army Reserves. Even when pregnant with her three children, Tina continued to dance and try to maintain fitness. However, after having three children in as many years, she needed to bring her level of fitness back up. She began by taking aerobics classes, then realized she could teach classes to others as well. She quickly made a name for herself and held instructor positions at Nautilus Fitness Center, was the assistant aerobics director at The Spartanburg Athletic Club, and was the aerobics director at the Spartanburg YMCA. However, Tina enjoyed the independence of running her own company and started a company called Fitness-To-Go, which sent instructors who had been trained by Tina to offsite locations to teach fitness classes. Tina began teaching classes at Foothills Health and Fitness Club through her company Fitness-To-Go. However, when the gym became available, she decided that she could make a successful business out of it. Thus, on June 18, 1998, Tina founded Tryon Health and Fitness Club. As a result of Tina’s personal love of dance, Tryon Health and Fitness Club has always maintained a strong and varied aerobics program within the larger structure of the gym. Currently, Tina is certified in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumbatomics, Zumba Toning, WERQ, R.I.P.P.E.D., Turbo Kick, as well as being AFAA certified in group exercise, yoga, and personal training. When she is not working, Tina enjoys hiking, painting, decorating, and spending time with her three children, grandkids, and husband of 31 years, Dan. She currently attends Free Chapel of Spartanburg. Tina truly believes that a balanced life must be Physical, Mental, and Spiritual.
Rhonda Giles is an AFAA certified personal trainer and group exercise instructor. She has been a part of the fitness industry since she was a child taking her mother’s (Tina) classes and learning the skills she would need to teach classes of her own. At age 13, she began teaching, Urban Rebounding, which is an aerobic workout taught on miniature trampolines. She has continued to learn different class formats over the years, and is constantly trying to keep up with the latest fitness trends to challenge and push herself and her students. She holds licenses in Zumba, Zumba Toning, Zumba for Kids, Zumba Gold, and WERQ. Rhonda currently teaches Kickboxing/Boot Camp, Dance Party, Use it or Lose it, and Yoga, as well as Spinning, Zumba, Body Sculpting and more!
Adam is a former Army Sargent deployed to tours in Iraq, and brings an intense personality along with a good knowledge of military training exercises. Adam currently teaches Weighted Workout, Hardcore, and our specialty class, Weapons of Mass Destruction. If you're ready to get your butt kicked, join Adam every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday morning!
Lily Quinn is a yoga enthusiast who enjoys practicing and teaching Beginner Power Vinyasa yoga, as well as gentle yoga aimed toward re-aligning and healing specific joints and muscle tissue. Sometimes adding Yin yoga classes, or core workouts, her classes are designed so that all levels and ages can challenge themselves. She also includes a short guided meditation at the end of each class to exercise and alleviate the mind. Her mission is that each person leave the class feeling limber, focused, and peaceful.

Tiffany is a licensed Zumba Instructor and has also helped with fitness coaching. As a fitness coach it is always her pleasure to help others reach their personal fitness goals. She enjoys creating fun and exciting ways to exercise, and helping others make positive choices in order to maintain healthy habits they'll find rewarding. She began dancing at an early age and continued dancing through her college years. Since her Zumba certification in 2012 she has taught and conducted Zumba classes. Tiffany enjoys seeing others benefit through dance exercise while also getting fit. Her motto is "Zumba is Dance Fun Fitness!"
Tiffany is a 2008 graduate of Landrum High School and a 2014 graduate of Strayer University in Greenville, South Carolina with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration. She lives in Landrum, South Carolina, and when she's not teaching she enjoys working on new Zumba routines! Tiffany loves the opportunity to share the joy of dance by way of Zumba, so come ready to workout, sweat, and have fun!
Shirley teaches Yoga at Tryon Health & Fitness Club and offers a unique and relaxing style of Yoga, suitable for everyone! Shirley's Yoga class not only promotes better posture, increased flexability, and improved circulation, but it also focuses on mental clarity.
Kimberly Walker Baker
Kimberly teaches Spin Classes at Tryon Health & Fitness Club as well as Kickboxing and Body Sculpting. Join Kimberly every Saturday morning for an intense cardio workout guranteed to get your heart pumping!
Tracy teaches Body Sculpting and Spinning on Tuesday nights and both classes offer participants a challenging workout. While Spin Classes offer you a great cardio workout, Body Sculpting is designed to tone your muscles through the use of dumbbells, bands, tubes, steps, and mat exercises. Make sure to join Tracy every Tuesday night for two great workouts back-to-back!
